Mission Priorities
LakewoodInformer.com aims for easy informational updates for those of us too busy to watch hours of city council meetings. We try to provide unbiased summaries as well as analysis and opinions of the latest happenings. We are a group of active citizens who have seen public views that are untold or ignored.
We aim to publish stories from the public, in a safe space, based on research and fact. Our editorial choices will address the gap between establishment actions and resident requests while covering the news and opinion on current issues.
Editorially, we are largely politically independent because national talking points hold little value at the local level. We will focus on local matters unless a national event brings local focus.

TRUTH
- All our content should be true.
- This does not preclude the use of opinion — opinion is vital to political and cultural commentary.
COURAGE
- We must have courage in order to expose the truth about powerful interests that may be angered by our coverage.
- We acknowledge and thank all parties engaged in free and open debate. They bear the brunt of hateful attacks in an effort to silence them.

Lakewood Informer is a news site that may report actions for candidates. It is not intended to campaign for or against any ballot issue or candidate. However, Lakewood’s campaign finance rules do not allow ANY reporting on candidates – in any format – within 60 days of an election – to their constituents.
Lakewood Informer, LLC pays for this site. It is not authorized by any
candidate, candidate committee, independent expenditure committee, political organization, or anyone else for political purposes.
